Eco eraser is made of recycled scallop shells from the Hokkaido, Japan food industry. It is nontoxic and safe for children. The eraser has reduced 50% Carbon-dioxide (Co2).

Since 1996 the Hokkaido scallop shell food industry recorded an average 540,000 tons of shell per year and 54% of that goes to waste.

Most eraser contain a substance called "Filler" which can be replaced with Calcium Carbonate. We saw this as an great opportunity to recycle the shells because they also are composed of Calcium Carbonate. We broke them down to powder and mixed it with other natural ingredients.

The eraser contains non PVC, non perfume and made from 100% natural resources such as natural rubber, scallop shell powder, and oil.
